POSITION TITLE:  Associate Pastor

STATUS:  Full-time – salary commensurate with experience, housing available, direct hire.

GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Associate or Families Pastor supports the Church’s mission, vision, and values by providing pastoral care and discipleship primarily to the children, youth, young adults, and families of our community. The Families Pastor is responsible for the ministry teams associated with this position.

REPORTING: The Associate Pastor reports to the Lead Pastor.  The Director of Youth Ministry will report to the Associate Pastor


·         Work in partnership with members and other Central staff to develop and implement ministry to the community

o   Develop, implement, and grow a discipleship pathway for our children, youth, young adults and families.

o   Recruit, train, and deploy servant leaders to lead aspects of regular discipleship

o   Regularly offering resources for families to lead discipleship in their homes

o   Visit families as needed

o   Communicate regularly with congregation and community

·         Oversee Summer Fellowship and Missional Opportunities

o   Camp, VBS, Outings, and Praise & Play

·         Officiate at weddings, lead worship activities, preach (10-12 times per year) and distribute sacraments as needed

·         Attend community events in support of children and families

·         Manage budgets, facilitate meetings and attend gatherings as needed.

·         Other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor

Bachelor’s Degree
Continuing Education or Working towards a Masters in Theology or Ordination
Minimum of 2-5 years of Pastoral Ministry
