Pine Creek Camp

Purpose: To provide spiritual and community leadership for a small congregation of a mainline Christian congregation and develop and Manage Programs at Pine Creek Camp

·         Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, or a combination of the two

·         Sensitive to and/or exposure to the unique perspectives and challenges of rural culture

·         Must love spending time outdoors

·         Sensitive to diversity (culture, race, gender, etc.) and a commitment to inclusion of such groups into the Body of Christ

·         Strong communication, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills

·         Adaptable and self-directed

·         Ability to work in intergenerational settings

·         Willingness to seek credentialing in the United Methodist Church

Proficiency in Apple systems and knowledge of collaborative online systems, or ability to learn said systems
Open to collaboration with clergy and laity from other churches
Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Responsibilities-divided between church and camp


●        Prepare for and offer Sunday worship, including a Biblical message

●        Work with church leadership op offer discipleship and community building ministry

●        Initiate congregational care for members and community residents

●        Recruit and train volunteers and staff to accomplish Impact2818’s mission

●        Hire and manage camp staff to implement safe and effective programming that aligns with United Methodist Theology

●        Develop and implement growth strategies that serve the local church, and thus the larger community

●        Prepare for and execute quality programing

●        Communicate site and facility needs with the Site Manager

●        Maintain and upkeep housing facilities to be presentable to any guests visiting site

●        Ensure we provide radical hospitality to all guests

●        Attend occasional funerals and weddings

●        Maintain a safe (physical, emotional, and spiritual) site for all residents, staff and guests

●        Other duties as assigned by the Site Manager or District Superintendent


Physical Requirements

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  A significant amount of time will be spent outdoors on our grounds during all months of the year.  These physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Compensation & Benefits

Pine Creek Camp will provide onsite Housing & Utilities as part of the Compensation Package; the responsibilities of the position are most effectively performed by the program manager living on site.
