Website Mt. Olive UMC

We are seeking a 10 hour a week, youth leader. The 10 hours will be fulfilled mainly on a weekly basis on Sundays by providing programming leadership to our 6th-12th grade youth during the 10:30am youth discipleship hour and 6pm evening programming window. We are looking for a youth leader to be a champion for our students by building relationships with them that point our youth to Jesus.

The Mt. Olive youth leader position will work closely with our Director of Family Ministries. The Director of Family Ministries will provide supervisions, calendar planning, curriculum, volunteer scheduling, and admin support to our youth leader as these duties are not expected to fall within the weekly 10 hours. Primarily, we are looking for a leader who can consistently be present to meet with and engage in our Sunday youth ministry programming.

No prior church staff experience is required—however, we are hopeful to find a leader who is interested in working towards a full-time ministry position in the future. This is a great experience for easing into student & family ministry within the church, especially for junior and senior college ministry students. Our youth ministry runs between 10-30 teenagers on a weekly basis from around the Grant County community.

Other requirements:

-Must be 20 years old or older

-Must pass a Safe Sanctuaries background check

-Must be willing to live within our Safe Sanctuaries guidelines and policies
