$15Northwest District Learning Day
June 1 from 9am-4:30 p.m. ET at St. Andrew UMC (West Lafayette).
$15 a person (includes lunch) for the whole day. $10 a person for up to two sessions (no lunch). Register 3 or more people from one church for the whole day (including lunch) for $30. The remainder of the cost covered by your church’s tithes.
Training sessions include:
- Rachel Metheny on asset-based community resources – a hope-filled approach to ministry with those outside the walls
- Randy Davis on bringing A Better Life – Brianna’s Hope to your community (a compassion-filled, participant-driven, faith-based support for those seeking recovery from substance use)
- Cathy Parish on congregational care – learn some ways your congregation can take care of each other
- Jeff Newton of Kokomo Urban Outreach on ManUp and StepUp – ‘hand up’ approaches to ministries with neighborhood children
There will also be opportunities between sessions to share best practices and have conversations with each other and with CS Lore and District Staff. RSVP to Jan Fager by May 24. Checks should be made payable to INUMC.
