Join us this fall for Loving, Learning and Leading with Bishop Trimble. We will welcome keynote speakers Dr. Karmalita Contee on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 and Reverend Sue Nilson Kibbey on Thursday, September 28, 2023.

Following a covenantal worship service on Wednesday morning, Dr. Contee will provide insight on recognizing and overcoming organizational anxiety.

On Thursday Rev Kibbey will bring an exciting possibility for corporate spiritual growth by introducing Dynamite Prayer: A 28 Day Experiment. The title of her presentation is “Surging Forward Together: Corporate Prayer Discernment for What’s Next.” The power of an ongoing congregation-wide Breakthrough Prayer Initiative—prayer surrendering our present reality and asking God’s Spirit to show us new possibilities and open doors—changes everything. This session will describe what happens when churches, after centering around pervasive breakthrough prayer across all areas of congregational life for weeks or longer together, then find themselves feeling hungry for unified forward movement. You’ll learn more about what it looks like to enter into a simple life-giving process that allows church members to speak what everyone is collectively hearing from God: immediate, specific next steps into an exciting future that congregants feel spiritually urgent to activate together.

This event is being offered at no cost to UMC clergy and laity. You can attend in-person or register for live stream with an interactive online experience. You may attend one or all sessions.
