Life Together 2019

United Methodists throughout the world are bound together in a connectional covenant in which we support and hold each other accountable for faithful discipleship and mission.  Integrally holding connectional unity and local freedom, we seek to proclaim and embody the gospel in ways responsible to our specific cultural and social context while maintaining “a vital web of interactive relationships”.

These words from our Book of Discipline (paragraph 125) are just as true today as when they were written.  We are living our ministry lives together.  Physically. Spiritually. Emotionally. Connected.

Join us for Life Together 2019 as we claim our connection and the power we have to work together to proclaim and embody the gospel.

Our time together will include the Bishop’s Appreciation Dinner for clergy and a guest on March 24th at 5pm ET; an extended time of worship, for clergy only on March 25^th and 26th, a proclamation and story-telling; a place and space for naming the losses of the past year and turning toward the opportunities of our post General Conference 2019 connection; opportunities for evening fellowship through pub theology and other gatherings; learning together with Ruth Haley Barton.

Founder and CEO of the Transforming Center, Barton is an author, spiritual director and teacher.  Her ministry focuses on strengthening the souls of pastors and Christian leaders as well as the congregations they serve.  Her most recent release, Strengthening the Soul of Your Leadership: Seeking God in the Crucible of Ministry speaks to ministry leaders about our own spiritual journeys.
