The General Commission on the Status and Role of Women (GCSRW) is partnering with Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary to host “I AM Her” (Solomon 4.7), a women’s leadership summit on August 13-15, 2020. The event will be held at Garrett Seminary in Evanston, IL. We are expecting between 225-250 women from across the United Methodist Church to come together for this summit to Be Inspired, Be Empowered, and Be Equipped!
This event is for both clergy and lay from across the country, and possibly a few from Central Conferences. Several women bishops from the UMC will be in attendance and participate in plenary presentations, as well as leaders from across the church who are non-clergy, business professionals and faculty.
On Friday evening, August 15th, our keynote speaker will be Rev. Nadia Bolz-Weber who is a New York Times Bestselling Author and public theologian. That portion of our event will be held at Alice Milar Chapel in Evanston.
Save the date for this important and inspirational conference. More details and registration information to come.
