PREGUNTAS FRECUENTES

Preguntas frecuentes

Equalization Members

Willingness to Serve Forms were received by the Indiana Annual Conference from Enero 2, 2024, through the submission deadline of Febrero 2, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

Equalization Members:

  • Will be elected at the District Conferences to be held in Marzo (or when the Superintendent designates).
  • Those elected to serve will be notified by e-mail.
  • Those elected will need to register for the Annual Conference to attend in person for voting purposes.

This process (reference 2016 Book of Discipline, paragraph 32, Article I), which aligns with our other practices within the Indiana Conference to gather names of those who are willing to serve the Annual Conference (please reference General and Jurisdictional Willingness to Serve, and Conference Nominations’ Volunteer Form). This process provides for an equitable means of communicating this opportunity broadly throughout the Indiana Annual Conference. When persons complete the form, it offers a catalog of names for the District Operational Teams to provide a slate of persons who can be available for election to represent the districts as lay equalization members to the Annual Conference Session.

The Equalization Members Willingness to Serve process does not guarantee anyone the opportunity to serve (even if you have served in this capacity in prior years). The process provides for the District Operational Teams to make a well-informed decision regarding those lay members who will serve to represent the diversity of the respective districts.

Please be aware that the District Operational Team will provide a slate to be voted at a District Conference in each district. The process for identifying Equalization Members will be found in our Indiana Conference Rules and Structure Document.

Health Screenings (Room W125)

Dates:  Junio 6 and 7, 2024
Time:  6:00 a.m. through 10:30 a.m.
Location:  Room 125

Clergy and lay employees enrolled in the HealthFlex program are encouraged to take the Blueprint for Wellness (BFW) screening free of charge during the Annual Conference Session. Screenings are an important way to identify areas for improvement, so health concerns can be addressed before they become more serious. By enabling early detection when conditions are most treatable, screenings help keep our participants healthier and promote improved well-being.

WHAT: The BFW health screening includes a blood draw and a few measurements such as blood pressure and waist circumference. You’ll receive personalized data on 30 health factors.

WHY: Earn $100

Register online:  It is strongly recommended that you register for this event. Walk-ins are very limited. There are two ways to register:

  • Online: Log in to your Virgin Pulse® account and find Blueprint for Wellness under the “Benefits” tab or through Benefits Access (for participants).
  • Phone: 1-855-623-9355

Employer group: Wespath2024

ALTERNATIVES:  If you can’t attend the BFW event, you can complete the BFW at a Quest Diagnostics® facility at no cost to you. Registration is required. The Well-Being Programs FAQs includes additional ways to complete the BFW if you can’t get to this event or a Quest facility.

Blueprint for Wellness Details:

Wellness Credits: Earn 20 Wellness Credits for each of seven health measures that meet the American Heart Association’s recommended range or are improved over your previous year’s BFW results. Seven qualifying health measures = 140 Wellness Credits total. Participants and spouses in HealthFlex can each earn $100—and up to 140 Wellness Credits depending on results. Earn 150 Wellness Credits before the end of the year and receive an additional $150.

If you missed the BFW last year, you’re still eligible for Wellness Credits for achieving healthy results, and you’ll have a baseline next year.

Fast Overnight: Fasting overnight gives the most accurate results. Ask your doctor or other primary care provider (PCP) if it’s safe for you to fast.

Results: Confidential results a re e-mailed and mailed directly to you. We encourage you to share these results with your PCP.

Health Check: Don’t forget to take the Health Check to avoid a higher deductible in 2025. Reasonable alternatives or waivers will be made available for those who cannot achieve recommended or improved measures due to an underlying medical condition. Requests for a reasonable alternative may be made by:

E-mail—healthteam@wespath.org

Lunch Conversations

Do you want some time to chat about what is happening at Annual Conference with other participants? Resolutions, petitions, discussions, and presentations are happening all throughout the day, and you may be curious about their implications. This year you will see opportunities in the lunch schedule to join a conversation – about items of business that will be on the table, about ministry opportunities in the conference, and about what has happened at General Conference. The hope is that everyone knows there is a lunch spot for meaningful conversations, further understanding, and asking one another thoughtful questions. Buy a box lunch or bring your own and join us for a lunch conversation – meet new people and learn from one another.
