CAROLYN K. WOLF of Valparaiso, Ind., 96, wife of retired Elder of the Indiana Conference the Rev. Dr. John D. Wolf, died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 18 at 10:30 a.m. CT at the First United Methodist Church, 103 N. Franklin Street in Valparaiso with the Rev. Dr. Jacob C. Williams officiating, followed by a reception in the church parish hall. Survivors include: her husband of 70 years, the Rev. Dr. John D. Wolf; their three sons, John D. (Vicki) Wolf, Jr., of South Bend, Carter Anderson (Kim) Wolf of Indianapolis and Earl Kelsey (Deborah) Wolf of Williamston, Mich.; nine grandchildren, Peter, Carter, Tyler, Sarah, Natasha, Luke, Cassie, Lara and Colin; and three great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Cameron, and Cooper. She had been a kindergarten teacher in Ohio, Saginaw, Mich. and Manhasset, Long Island, N.Y. She was a member of the First UMC in Valparaiso, the United Methodist Women, League of Women Voters and PEO. She also was an accomplished pianist and was devoted to children’s Christian education.
