JOAN SANDRA (SPEEDIE) SMITH of Franklin, 77, wife of Donald Smith, a past treasurer of the former North Conference and also on staff at General Board of Pensions and Health Benefits, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 West Main Street, Greenwood. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Franklin United Methodist Community, Wright Memorial Chapel, 1070 West Jefferson Street with a visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Interment will be private. The Rev. In Suk Peebles and The Rev. John Elliot will officiate. She is survived by husband, Donald, sons, Douglas Alan (Eveline) of St. Joseph, Ill., Keith Cameron (Lisa) of Westfield, Ind.; Neal Ramsey of Vandalia, Ohio; and daughter, Dee (Stuart) Delaney of Grove City, Ohio; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
