JOHN ALAN COAHRAN of Crossville, Tenn., 74, retired Elder of the Indiana Conference, died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011. A memorial service will be held at First UM Church in Crossville on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 2 p.m. (CT) with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Survivors include: his wife of 55 years, Beverly; two sons, Brian of New Albany, Ind. and David of Spicer, Minn.; four grandchildren, Noah, Taylor, Peyton and Jaden. He was preceded in death by his first son, John David. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crossville UMC Building Fund, 100 Braun Street, Crossville, TN 38555. He served Indiana churches for 42 years at 25th Street and First in Terre Haute, Emmanuel in Huntingburg, Meadowdale and Broad Ripple in Indianapolis, Silver Street in New Albany and Main Street in Boonville. He retired in 1999 and with his wife, Beverly, moved to Crossville, Tenn.
