Christian Unity

The United Methodist Church is a part of the Church universal.

The United Methodist Church is part of the Church universal and connected to other Christian denominations through full communion with other Methodist denominations, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Moravian Church in North America and The Pan-Methodist Commission. We also are connected together through the World Council of Churches, the World Methodist Council, the National Council of Churches and the Churches United in Christ organizations. Locally, many United Methodist churches across Indiana are members of local ministerial associations, church federations, and other ecumenical and interfaith outreach ministries in their communities and counties. Christian Unity in the Indiana Conference provides informative Christian Unity resources and information below.

For more information, contact Rev. Dr. Dan Gangler at dan.gangler@inumc.org. For more information about ecumenism in The United Methodist Church, visit The United Methodist Bishops’ website at: www.unitedmethodistbishops.org/ecumenical.
