The INUMC Prison and Jail Ministry Team needs your support in helping the women at the Indiana Women’s Prison. The women have been using their quarantine time to make masks for both adults and children. After providing masks to all offenders and staff at Indiana Women’s Prison, they have provided masks to the community, including:
Methodist Hospital, Community North, The Veteran’s Administration, Hancock Community Hospital, Johnson County Senior Citizen’s Center, MHP Hospital, Little Feet Academy, Michelle’s Little Free Pantry, Metro Ministries, and Children in the Foster Care system.
The Prison and Jail Ministry Team is seeking donations of thin elastic and 100% cotton material from Central Indiana to help them keep sewing. Donations can be dropped off at North United Methodist Church, 3808 N. Meridian St, Indianapolis on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (10:30 to 12:00) at the West Entry. Materials may also be mailed to the coordinator of volunteers: Lyndsey Lane, 650 Lake Shore Road, Franklin, IN 46131.
If you have questions or to make a donation, please contact Jan Wheater at (765) 418-0696 or email@example.com.
