Starting August 15, Weekly News will look different. Here’s what you need to know:
This summer, the Indiana Conference is making some updates to our Weekly News email with the intention of creating a fresh, new look that offers readers the information that they want. Read about the changes below to make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to receive email information that is important to you.
Our current Weekly News email template has served us well for the last several years. It’s chock-full of United Methodist information, from local to global. But it has SO much content it can be hard to find the vital information you need from week to week.
We want to deliver information that YOU want in an easy-to-read format, so our new email strategy operates under the “reach fewer people more times” mentality. This means you could potentially sign up to receive more emails from us, but your fingers will be saved from constant scrolling since it will only contain streamlined information.
So what does this mean to me?
As part of that, we’ve had to make some difficult decisions regarding what content will stay in our email template and what doesn’t. That said, our new Weekly News email will NOT include the following. (Don’t panic yet…the information is still available, and if you want it, you can receive it.)
- Death Notices will be sent in separate emails as they are received
- Appointments can be accessed live at inumc.org/appointments
- Employment opportunities will be sent separately, bi-weekly (or you can view them any time at inumc.org/careers)
- Around the Connection (You can find global news from UMNews here.)
We encourage you to update your subscriber information and select the emails that you want to receive. If you want to receive the above information, please click here and update your subscription preferences by August 12, 2019.
We’re optimistic that our newly-designed email template, which will launch August 15, will do a better job highlighting news and communicating about our upcoming events.
Thank you for your patience as we seek to improve our communication so that we can, in the end, move forward in our mission to make disciples.
