Meet the Trimbles

If you were to ask Bishop Julius C. Trimble about his home, his life, and family, he would quickly say that when you entered his home his hope is that you would experience love, laughter, celebration, and prayer. While the life of a bishop means a steady schedule of events and meetings, it is the brightness and joy of life that is reflected in the center of Bishop Trimble’s home that keeps him looking to Jesus in the midst of transition, heartache, and new beginnings.

Opening their home and hearts to the Indiana Conference, Bishop Trimble and First Lady Racelder Grandberry-Trimble spoke candidly about their families, relationship, life in ministry, as well as the opportunity they have to serve in Indiana.

Bishop and First Lady Trimble were college sweethearts. Having met during his fraternity founder’s day weekend, Bishop Trimble slyly admits that ironically he transferred to Illinois State University, where First Lady was attending, shortly after their meeting. The transfer proved to be a good idea; Bishop and First Lady have been married for 38 years.

It was easy to hear and see the nostalgia of their meeting and wedding day. The Trimbles watched their only daughter, Candiace, walk down the aisle in March of 2016, and in July 2018 the Trimbles celebrated the birth of their first granddaughter, Corrine.
