General Conference

The last General Conference was set to happen in Minneapolis in 2020, but the pandemic caused it to be postponed until 2024.  The 2024 United Methodist General Conference will be held April 23-May 3, 2024, at Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Indiana delegates, along with delegates from the rest of the U.S. and all over the world will attend the 11-day Conference, expected to attract about 5,500-7,500 people.

General Conference is the top policy-making body of The United Methodist Church. The assembly meets at the beginning of each quadrennium to consider revisions to church law, as well as adopt resolutions on current moral, social, public policy and economic issues. It also approves plans and budgets for church-wide programs for the next four years. Click to find the schedule in English, French, or Portuguese
