General Conference Volunteer Feature: Matt Wolf

Matt Wolf serves as the Associate Director of Information Technology and Data Management at INUMC and is a respected board member of the United Methodist Information Technology Association (UMITA). When Matt received the invitation to volunteer on the tech team at General Conference, he eagerly accepted.

For Matt, the decision to volunteer was driven by a profound sense of purpose and commitment to the Church’s mission. “I feel immensely privileged to volunteer at the General Conference,” Matt shared. “This role offers me a unique opportunity to leverage technology in service of a mission that deeply resonates with me.”

As the General Conference unfolds, Matt and his team are providing essential network infrastructure and support. From assisting with software and network set up to ensuring meeting rooms are tech-ready, the tech volunteers are working hard behind the scenes to ensure everything runs seamlessly. Their efforts, though often unseen, are an integral part of the conference’s success.

“The chance to work alongside dedicated individuals, all contributing towards the success of the General Conference, is not just an honor but a deeply enriching experience,” Matt said. “It underscores the powerful impact of collective effort in advancing the church’s mission, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute in this capacity.”

Through their dedication and passion, Matt and fellow volunteers embody the core principles of servant leadership, leaving a meaningful impact on both General Conference and the Methodist community as a whole.
