| Lawrence “Larry” Edward Dettner, 84, retired elder, passed away on September 6, 2023. He is survived by his children, Angela D. (Mull) McDermott, Eric D. (Stephine) Dettner, and Michael E. (Brian Owens) Dettner; grandchildren, Noah Dettner, Dalton Mull, Tanner Mull, and Emelia Dettner; and a great-granddaughter, Briley Mull. A celebration of Larry’s life will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, at Canton First United Methodist Church. Interment will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, in the Georgia National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his memorial fund at and/or the “Larry Dettner Ministry Scholarship” by Canton First United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be offered here.
