
We are pleased to announce that Shannon Priddy will serve as Associate Conference Lay Leader for the Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church effective immediately.
“Shannon brings much to the laity leadership team in terms of both her professional and church-related experience. She is dedicated to the mission and ministry of the Church with passion and energy,” said David Johns, Conference Lay Leader.
Some of the responsibilities of the Associate Conference Lay Leader include assisting the Conference Lay Leader in fulfilling the duties of that office, presiding over the Board of Laity meetings in the absence of the Conference Lay Leader, and representing the Conference Lay Leader on selected committees and teams.
Shannon is originally from northern Illinois, served with the Peace Corps in Armenia from 2009-2011, moving to Indiana in 2011. She is an active member at North UMC in Indianapolis.
She is serving on the Indiana Conference Commission on Status and Role of Women (COSROW), the Board of Trustees, and is a delegate to General Conference. She’s a long-time supporter of United Women in Faith and has served as National President. She has been a fundraiser for various nonprofit organizations and currently works at United Women in Faith as an Executive for Development & Donor Relations to fundraise for the Legacy Fund Endowment campaign.
