DUANE WILLIAM HAWBAKER, 93, of Des Moines, IA, went home to be with the Lord on March 16, 2023. Duane was the father of retired elder Donna Goings.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on March 24, at Valley Junction Church of God, 321 Elm Street, West Des Moines, IA. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on March 23, at Iles Brandt Chapel, 1301 Ash St, Dallas Center, IA. Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Brethren Cemetery, Dallas Center.
Duane is survived by his children, Donna Goings of Bloomington, IN, Darrel (Sandy) of Hastings, MI, Diana Hawbaker of Dallas Center, and Doyle (Freda) of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-grandson on the way.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Lighthouse of Christ Church, Adel, IA, Valley Junction Church of God, or a charity of donor’s choice.
