| RUTHERFORD R. COOKE, 81, father of local pastor Kenneth Cooke, passed away February 19, 2023.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 9, at Vermont Avenue Baptist Church, 1630 Vermont Ave NW, Washington, DC. The viewing will take place 10:00-11:00 a.m. with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. The family has requested that masks be worn. Private burial will be held at Quantico National Cemetery.
In lieu of memorial flowers, donations can be made to Central Union Mission, PO Box 96763, Washington, DC 20090-6763. Please include a note that the gift is in memory of Reverend Rutherford Cooke.
