ELGIE DEAN (ROBBINS) CAMPBELL, 94, mother of Joy Ahlemeyer, part-time local pastor and Conference Assistant to the Southwest and South Districts and mother-in-law to Rev. Tim Ahlemeyer, of Santa Claus, IN, passed away on October 28, 2022.
Friends and family will gather from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, at Rice’s Chapel Baptist Church (1525 Gravlee Jct Rd, Bremen, AL 35033). Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Santa Claus with online viewing available.
Elgie is survived by her children, Ottis (Denise) Campbell, Cecil (Ginny) Campbell, Van (Karen) Campbell, Wallace Campbell, Sharon (Dave) Cicardo, Clayton (Diana) Campbell, and Joy (Tim) Ahlemeyer; brother, Bill (Sue) Robbins; sister-in-law, Peggy Robbins; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
