REV. CARLDEAN MERRIFIELD, 98, retired local pastor, of Wolcottville, IN, died September 28, 2022, at the Orchard Pointe Health Campus in Kendallville, IN.
Funeral services were held October 4 at Woodruff Grove United Methodist Church.
Carldean is survived by his wife, Patsy L. Minnick; children, Linda (Jerry) Barker of South Milford, IN, Barbara Julian of Angola, IN, Jacki (Jack) Pearson of Shipshewana, IN, and Diane Merrifield of LaGrange, IN; two sons, Carldean Jr. (Judy) Merrifield of Wolcottville, IN, and David (Mary) Merrifield of LaGrange, IN; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Carldean served as Senior Pastor at Mongo UMC (1981-1993), Plato UMC (1981-1993), East Springfield UMC (1981-1993), and Solomon Creek UMC (1995-2011).
