REV. ROBERT MERRILL “BOB” CAMPBELL, 96, of Shelbyville, IN, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022, at his daughter’s home in Greenfield, IN.
Bob is survived by his children, Rev. Terry D. (Pamela) Campbell of Greenfield, and Rev. Sandy (Rev. Gary) Cooper of Greenfield; four grandchildren, Tracy, Jill, Ben, and Liz; two step-grandchildren, Rachael and Leah; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Bob served at Philadelphia UMC (1967-1970), Bright-Logan UMC (1970-1972), Old Bethel UMC (1972-1976), St. Paul UMC (1976-1982), Connersville Grand Avenue UMC (1982-1988), Greensburg UMC (1988-1993), and First UMC in Shelbyville (1993-2006).
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 19, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory in Shelbyville and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 20, at First UMC in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at First UMC in Shelbyville. Interment will be at Miller Cemetery in Shelby County.
Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville.
