Haskins, Jack B.

JACK B. HASKINS of Sellersburg, Indiana, 90, retired Elder, died Friday, February 22. Jack served several congregations in the South Indiana Conference, including Asbury Chapel, Shelbyville, Princeton, and Speedway. He served proudly as the District Superintendent of the Columbus District during the tenure of Bishop Leroy Hodap. Prior to entering ministry, Jack served his country as a First Lieutenant in the US Air Force during the Korean War and served his community as a high school Englis and History teacher. 
Visitation will be held 4-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, Christ United Methodist Church, 104 North Meridian Street, Washington, Ind. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, with visitation preceding one hour prior, at the church. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, Washington. 
Jack is survived by his daughter Rebekah (James) Clayton of Sellersburg; son, Rev. Peter (Emily Kirk) Haskins of Vincennes; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and partner in ministry, Dolores (Denbo) Haskins in 2014.
