ROBERT JOE WALTERS of Plainfield, 64, retired Elder, died Monday, July 31, 2017. Walters also served as Director of Connectional Ministries for the North Katanga Episcopal Area, and was former Executive Director of Metro Ministries in Indianapolis. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 5, Plainfield United Methodist Church, 600 Simmons Street, Plainfield, IN. Visitation will precede from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, at the church. He is survived by wife, Teri Walters; children, Rev. Taylor (Stuart) Denyer, Robbie (Jordan) Walters; and one granddaughter. Memorial contributions may be made to Friendly Planet Missiology.
