ELIZABETH BARFIELD “BETTY” WALTERS of Franklin, Ind., 82, surviving spouse to retired Elder Rev. Summer Lewis Walters Jr., died Monday, December 19, 2016. A Celebration of Life service will be held 3:00 p.m, Saturday, January 14, 2017, with a memorial gathering preceding from 2 – 3:00 p.m., Wright Memorial Chapel of the Franklin United Methodist Church, 1070 W. Jefferson Street, Franklin, IN 46131. Inurnment will take place immediately following the service, Grace United Methodist Church, 1300 East Adams Drive, Franklin. Survivors include: children, Grace Walters (Timothy) Hamilton of St. Louis, Mo., John (Ruth) Walters of Cheney, Wash., and Paul Walters of Bloomington, Ind.; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
