VERA HELEN WHEATON of Mackey, Ind., 95, mother of Aaron Wheaton, retired elder of the West District, died Monday, May 30, 2016. A public visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, June 1, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Corn-Colvin Mortuary, 323 N Main St, Oakland City, Ind. A memorial service will take place at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 2, at Mackey Salem UMC, 9897 E 700 S, Oakland City, IN 47660. Survivors include: daughter, Mary Jo Grubb Barnard (John), of Albion, Illinois; sons, Eric Wheaton of Evansville, Pastor Aaron Wheaton (Cynthia) of Terre Haute; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
