RICHARD B. MILLER of El Dorado, Kansas, 91, father of Rev. Ruth Waite, Senior Pastor of Star City UMC, died Monday, May 9, 2016. A public visitation will take place Thursday, May 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m, at Carlson Funeral Home, 200 S. Star El Dorado, KS, 67042. A memorial service will follow Friday, May 13, 10:30 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church, 400 W. Central El Dorado, KS. Survivors include: wife, Dorothy Miller; daughters, Susan (John) Drach of Manhattan, Kansas; Ruth Waite of Star City, Indiana; Bo Duckett (Jennifer) Williams of Ames, Iowa; sons, Charles Miller (Wendy) Rogers of Guinda, California; Mike Miller (Lyn) German of Portage, Michigan; and Ben Duckett of Gastonia, North Carolina; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be shared with First Presbyterian Church (addressed above), or the Richard B. Miller Scholarship at Butler County Community College.
