Charles Dean Nichols Sr, father of Rev. Kurt Nichols, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of 58 years, his sons, Charles Jr. (Marie) of Williamston, and Rev. Kurt (Kristin) of Valparaiso, IN, as well as his daughter,
Rev. Dr. Tracy (Bob) Huffman, of Dearborn, MI. Grandchildren: Shaun (Jason) Zelski, Nathan, Adam, Haley and Chloe Nichols. Great grandchildren: Madison, Owen and Gracin Zelski. He is also survived by his sister Sandy Taylor of Niles, MI. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, at 11:30 a.m., with visitation at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 275 W. Michigan Ave., Jackson, MI. The service will be officiated by Rev. Kurt Nichols and Rev. Dr. Eric Beck.
