MARY JANE CARPENTER of Warren, Ind., and formerly of Elkhart, Ind., 88, wife of retired Elder Don Carpenter, died Monday, May 18, 2015. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. (ET) Thursday, May 21, at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard in Elkhart. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Southlawn UMC, 60756 U.S. 31 S. in South Bend, Ind., with visitation from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Survivors include: husband, Don Carpenter; daughter, Kimberly Lynne (Daniel) Porter of Muncie, Ind.; sons, Kristin B. (Mary) Carpenter of Elkhart and Kelly P. (Lyn) Carpenter of Winston-Salem, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Condolences may be sent to Rev.
