ALVIS HOLMES STYRON of Union, Miss., 56, former Indiana Local Pastor; father-in-law of the Rev. Colin Cress serving Plainfield United Methodist Church; and father of Heather Cress, receptionist at the Central District Office; died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014. A memorial service was held Dec. 27 in Magee, Miss. Survivors include: wife, Carol (Thompson) Styron; son, Alvis Holmes Styron III; daughters, Heather Ann (Colin) Cress, Holly Lynn (Jackson) Owens; stepchildren, Kyle Donald Barth, Kirsten Kaye Barth and Katie Lynn Barth; and two grandchildren.
