JOHN PAUL MODESITT of New Braunfels, Texas, 73, a retired Elder, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2014. A time of fellowship and sharing will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 6 at Sheridan United Methodist Church, 207 E. Second Street in Sheridan, Ind. A private internment ceremony will be held Dec. 6. A second time of fellowship and sharing will be held at 4 p.m. Dec. 6 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 801 S. Huntington Street in Syracuse, Ind. Survivors include wife, Jane Winter Modesit; children, Elizabeth (Kevin) Modesitt Handrick, Michael John (Melissa) Modesitt and Matthew John (Kristy) Modesitt; and seven grandchildren. Modesitt served Indiana churches at: Portland, Plainville, Crawfordsville Mt. Zion, Avon, Corydon, New Castle Trinity and Sheridan.
