PHIL BEARD of Columbia City, father of Brenda Gross, conference assistant, died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2014. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 207 N. Main Street in Columbia City. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Columbia City United Methodist Church, 605 Forest Parkway in Columbia City.
