SHIRLEY GOTTS of Madison, Ind., 79, wife of Pastor Edward Gotts, supply pastor to Dupont United Methodist Church, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014. A memorial service was held Tuesday, Feb. 18, at North United Methodist Church in Madison, with burial in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Survivors include: her husband, Dr. Edward E. Gotts; two sons, Gary Gotts of Madison and Gregory Gotts of Oakland, Calif.; one daughter, Kimberly Benfield of Norfolk, Va.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her son, Grant Gotts, who died in 1963. Memorial contributions can be made to the North United Methodist Church, 2235 Allen Street, Madison, IN 47250.
