R. EDWIN GREEN of Allen, Texas, 97, retired Elder of the Indiana Conference, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 in Allen. Arrangement are pending with a memorial service at Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas early next week and an interment in June at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens on St. Simons Island, Ga. Survivors include: children, John W. (Sandy) Green, Philip B. (Barbara), Green Thomas J. (Jane) Green and Susan E. (Scott) Wilkerson; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Agnes Green, who died Nov. 22, 2010. He served church in Indiana at Marion 9th Street, Wakarusa, Ossian, Albion, Osceola, Greenfield Bradley, Fort Wayne Wallen, Huntington Evangelical and Kokomo Faith, retiring in 1979. They moved the following year to St. Simons Island, Ga. and more recently settled in Allen, Texas, a north suburb of Dallas.
