LLOYD MILES WRIGHT of New Albany, 86, a retired Elder and former District Superintendent of the Indiana Conference, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2014. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17 at the Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, 1119 E. Market Street in New Albany. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17 at the funeral home with interment at SCI Graceland Memorial Park, 2778 Charlestown Road in New Albany. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2796 Charlestown Road in New Albany. During the Memorial Service Saturday, United Methodist clergy who are present will be invited to gather in the chancel and sing a hymn together to celebrate and honor the Rev. Dr. Wright. Survivors include: his wife, Marie (Lamb); sons, David (Martha) Wright of New Albany, Terry (Lisa) Wright of Marietta, Ga.; daughters, Marilyn Dorton (Darrel) of New Albany and Marlene Russell of Evansville, Ind.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
