JUDITH (JUDY) K. ADAMS of Kokomo, Ind., 66, a Local Pastor of the Indiana Conference, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, at Main Street United Methodist Church, 830 S. Main Street in Kokomo with the Rev. Nancy S. Blevins officiating, assisted by Dr. Phil Granger, District Superintendent Rev. Michelle Cobb, and the Rev. Riley Case. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held the same day from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Survivors include: husband, Ken; son, Mike Conner and wife Brandy; daughter, April Campbell; step-son, Brian Adams and wife Joselyn; grandchildren, Stefani and husband Seth Stucker, Taylor Conner, Michael Conner, Jr., Shelby Cree, Brandon Cree, Joey Adams, Leah Conner, Gabriella Stucker, Peyton McKinney; brother-in-law, Jack Adams and wife Ann; and family friend, Tina Valadez. She served these United Methodist churches in Indiana: Twelve Mile, Bethlehem (Twelve Mile Indiana); Parr and Cassville (Kokomo); Outreach Pastor for Grace (Kokomo); and interim pastor at Burlington before being appointed to Pleasant Grove in Warsaw. She then went on a short sabbatical and was reappointed to North Liberty and Sumption Prairie. She then retired in 2011 and did pulpit fill in Marion, Burlington, Goldsmith and lastly, Grant, (Fairmount) and Summitville. She was the first head of the Order of Local Pastors in the new Indiana Conference. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Main Street United Methodist Church, or an organization of the donor”s choice.
