ELLEN LASH of Kendallville, 100, mother of the Rev. Evan Lash, pastor of First United Methodist Church at LaPorte, Ind., died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013. A memorial service was held Sept.16 in Kendallville with the Rev. Dr. G. Scott Pattison officiating. Burial was at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville. Survivors include: daughter, Karen Steelman of Gary; son, the Rev. Evan (Barbara Jackson) Lash of LaPorte; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
