JOHN DAVID “J.D.” KAVICH of Anderson, 94, retired Elder of the Indiana Conference, died Saturday, July 13, 2013. Visitation will be Monday, July 22, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road in Anderson. A graveside memorial service will be at 11:30 a.m. the same day at the Anderson Memorial Park, Survivors include his two children, Jean (Calvin) Bloom and David (Tammy) Kavich, all of Anderson; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce K. (McPherson) Kavich on March 24, 2008. He served United Methodist churches in Indiana at Canton, Lanesville, Heidelberg, Laurel, Indianapolis Shelby Street, New Albany Main Street, Indianapolis Bellaire and Indianapolis Calvary retiring in 1981.
