RONALD H. DIXON of South Bend, Ind., 75, retired Elder of the Indiana Conference, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. EDT at Southlawn United Methodist Church, 60756 US 31 in South Bend. A memorial service will be the same day at 11 a.m. at the church. Survivors include wife Barbara S. Dixon; sons Michael (Jessica) Dixon of Plymouth and Kevin (Pamela) Dixon of New Carlisle; and five grandchildren. He was ordained in The United Methodist Church in 1964 and served congregations in Rolling Prairie and Etna Green, Indiana, and moved to South Bend in 1994, serving Northwest and St. Paul’s Memorial United Methodist Churches. He retired from full-time ministry in 2000.Since then, he has served as Associate Pastor at Southlawn United Methodist Church until his death.
