RICHARD C. THISTLE, retired Elder of the Indiana Conference, died Saturday, April 27, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 4 at First United Methodist Church of LaPorte, 1225 Michigan Avenue in LaPorte, Ind. with the Revs. Lash and Cindy Reynolds officiating. He served churches in Indiana at Wakefield, Hammond Woodmar, Gary City, South Bend First, Indianapolis Broadway and Lowell. He also served as Superintendent of the former Huntington District and as Chaplain at Broadway Hospital in Gary. He retired in 1987.
