JACK N. SNELL of Morocco, Ind., 80, retired part-time local pastor of the Indiana Conference who served as Pastor of the Raub United Methodist Church of Earl Park, Ind., died Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. CDT, Sunday, April 28 at the Morocco Community Center, 409 S. Polk Street in Morocco. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. CDT Monday, April 29 at the First United Methodist Church, 203 S. Clay Street in Morocco, with the Rev. Katherine Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Snell was a teacher and counselor in the Newton County Schools for 49 years, retiring in 1998. Survivors include wife, Sarah Snell; daughter, Cecilia (Larry) Henning of Flora; two sons, Stephen Snell and William Snell, both of Morocco; and two granddaughters. Memorials are suggested to the Jack Snell Scholarship Fund of the Newton County Foundation or the Raub United Methodist Church, 8404 N State Road 71, Earl Park, IN 47942.
