JULIA K. “GRANDMA WHITEY” CARPENTER of Clayton, Ind., 91, mother of the Rev. Roy Eugene Carpenter III, a retired Elder who is serving Ames Chapel UMC in Paoli, Ind., died Saturday, April 20, 2013. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home, 4712 Pennsylvania Street in Clayton, with visitation from noon until the time of the service. Burial will be in Clayton Cemetery. Survivors include her children, Bonnie (Ernie) Noe of Evansville; Roy Eugene (Marcia) Carpenter, Jr. of Jasper; Barbara (David) Newlin of Indianapolis; James R.
