BARBARA JEAN (WOLFSKILL) BAHRT of Richmond, Texas, 83, mother of the Rev. Steven C. Bahrt, senior pastor of Faith United Methodist Church in Kendalville, Ind., died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013. She was as a commissioned Diaconal Minister, who worked or volunteered as a Christian educator in Texas for more than 55 years at United Methodist churches in Houston, Orange, Odessa, Corsicana, Seabrook, Clear Lake City and Coldspring. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Jan. 17 at 4 p.m. at Faith UMC, 4600 FM 359 Road in Richmond, Texas. An additional service will be held on a future date at the Coldspring UMC in Coldspring, Texas. Survivors include: two sons, Keith S. Bahrt (Tina) of Sugarland, Texas, and the Rev. Steven C. Bahrt (Pamela) of Kendallville, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her late husband, Carl Perry Bahrt preceded her in death Nov. 23, 2009.
