BETTY JEAN EMRICK of Indianapolis, 80, mother-in-law of the Rev. Dr. James C. Bushfield, director of the Indiana Conference Connectional Ministries, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 at the Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 West Main Street in Greenwood. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at the funeral home with burial at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Survivors include: children, Betty S. (Thomas) Henson, Deborah A. (James) Bushfield and Gina L. (Brad) Emrick; three grandchildren, Karen, Anthony and Melissa; three great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Frank A. Emrick and by her husband of 58 years, Charles Russell Emrick. Betty was a beautician and cosmetology instructor in Indianapolis, Cape Coral and Ft. Myers. She enjoyed arts, music, dancing, Bible studies and senior bowling. She was a member of the Woodside United Methodist Church.
