JULIA ANN (McCONNELL) BYERLY of Indianapolis, 88, mother of the Rev. James E. Byerly, pastor of Rockdale United Methodist Church in the Southeast District, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 26 from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Castleton United Methodist Church at the corner of 71st and N. Shadeland Streets in Indianapolis. A memorial service will be held at the church at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, with burial in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Survivors include: her husband, Ellsworth Byerly; children, Jerry L. (Anne) Byerly, Dan L. (Rachelle) Byerly, Tom E. (Carol) Byerly, Larry A. (Debra) Byerly, Mary A. (Paul) Cashen, the Rev. James E. (Kathy) Byerly, Lynne (Dave) Cheslyn, Roy H. (Jenny) Byerly and Jennifer G. (Chris) Mosier; 25 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
