BRITTANY NICOLE BROOKSHIRE, a senior at the University of Texas in San Antonio, 23, granddaughter of the Rev. Wes Brookshire, Northeast Associate District Superintendent, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012. Brittany had Cystic Fibrosis and was on a waiting list for a lung transplant. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Sept. 27 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Survivors include: her parents, Ross and Dawn (Sterrett) Brookshire; sister, Kaitlyn Brookshire; maternal grandparents, Marion and Dennis Sterrett; paternal grandparents, Wes and Sara Brookshire; uncle, Jefferey Brookshire (wife Jill); aunt, Melissa Yakimicki (husband Mike); great-grandparent, Marsella Sterrett; uncle, D.J.
