KENNETH TOWNSEND HOLDZKOM of Lapel, Ind., 92, retired Elder of the Indiana Conference and father of the Rev. Stephen P. Holdzkom, pastor of Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel, died Saturday, July 21, 2012. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, 415 E. Washington St., Muncie, Ind. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 30, at the funeral home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Gordon Jackson will be officiating. Survivors include three children, Stephen Holdzkom (Deborah), Lapel; Lois Holdzkom, Brownsburg; and Marianne Holdzkom (Albert Churella), Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren; one nephew; several great-nieces and great-nephews. The Rev. Kenneth Holdzkom served United Methodist churches in Indiana at Upland, New Burlington/New Bethel, Alexandria, Castleton, Famersburg, Connersville East Side, Clay City First/8th Street, Aurora, Indianapolis Aldersgate and Darlington, retiring in 1988.
