AUGUST V. HUBER of New Albany, Ind., 88, a retired associate clergy member of the Indiana Conference and father of the Rev. Hollis Earl Huber, pastor of Springdale UMC in Jeffersonville, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18, at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, 7220 State Road 64 in Georgetown, Ind. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, at the funeral home. Survivors include: sons, Vernon Huber of Lawrenceburg, Ky., and the Rev. Hollis Huber of Charlestown; daughter, Bonnie Huber of New Albany; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus of Southern Indiana, 624 East Market Street, New Albany, IN 47150. August Huber served churches in Indiana at Crawford County Circuit in Leavenworth, Fredericksburg, Orangeville, Little York, Marengo, Lanesville, Freelandville, Stone Bluff, Raglesville, Monrovia, Thorntown, Austin/Wesley Chapel and Evansville Asbury.
